I especially liked how it relates to chemical dependency

and how everything begins in the mind. Plus, I appreciated the presenter’s calm demeanor, role-modeling, and appropriate use of the 12 steps while not allowing the client to use chemicals as an excuse for committing crimes. I would like this training for all staff.

Smooth Fit for All Our Staff

We have already implemented several of the activities that we learned in training and you wouldn’t believe how smoothly they fit into our existing program. Kudos to you, as this is the first and only training that our staff has attended and has not complained about how boring or useless the information was. Believe me, we have a highly resistant staff here and they have had nothing but good comments on your material. You did a wonderful job presenting the information in a way that everyone was able to understand and enjoy it.

All that I am doing these days is psychological testing. However, I still use the concepts of Truthought with both clients and friends. You do good work.

We have witnessed a dramatic decline in problem behavior

since Truthought was here and we have used little, if any, physical holds. The clients are now working harder than the staff. With over 27 years in the field of education,

I have worked as a special education teacher, a principal, and director of special education. I have been involved with numerous children considered emotionally disturbed, behavior disordered, and conduct disordered. These are the children who took up so much of my mental energy. Truthought has helped me understand why 27 previous years of interventions were ineffective. My focus has changed from concentrating on changing the student's environment to changing the way the student responds to environmental factors.

The course was a blast!

The material was timely, applicable and relevant to our population. As I noted in my evaluation the information on the Stages of Change and engaging with kids is the best presentation of this material I have ever seen, not focusing too heavily on the clinical aspects, but providing context and identifying how to apply them to juvenile learners. A text book case of ADHD

describes one of my clients. His habits were to place his hands on the bodies of female staff members. Staff had tried a number of interventions--contracts, meetings with probation officers, positive incentives--all had limited impact. After Truthought was implemented the touching behavior decreased markedly within only a few weeks.

This was my 2nd Truthought Training,

yet none of the information seemed old or boring. The audience wanted to discuss everything which provokes much thought. It was a great training!

This Truthought program has made a radical impact

in influencing behavior changes in the most "at risk" students in our district. In the most exteme cases Truthought techniques have been the key to unlocking the door to progress with students who many said were hopeless!

Truthought has a model that relates to all kinds of programs.

It helped me understand the learning styles of the antisocial. I liked the tactic interrupters, concept of the ripple effect and emphasis on paying attention to thoughts not feelings.

I've taken other Cognitive Behavioral Courses

that this program offers. It can compliment our current curriculum within the Department of Corrections. With budget constraints, environment, moods, etc. This eases the process in getting this information to the learners and making a difference.

As a University Professor and Author in

psychiatry and behavioral sciences, it is my view that Truthought's approach cuts through much of the confusion around working with manipulative, deceptive people and that it can be taught to and mastered by individuals from all training backgrounds and professional orientations. I am really interested in how this program overlaps with Kernberg's understanding of antisocial personalities as fragmented or partitioned personalities.

My teenage son is ADHD

After Truthought Training when my son said he could not complete a school assignment, first he blamed the school, then the teacher, then his employer. But I continued to get to the bottom line using Truthought Tactic Interrupters. It was amazing. I watched him go from emotionally-drunk to thoughtfully-sober in less than 20 minutes.
