  With over 27 years in the field of education, I have worked as a special education teacher, a principal, and director of special education. I have been involved with numerous children considered emotionally disturbed, behavior disordered, and conduct disordered. These are the children who took up so much of my mental energy. Truthought has helped me understand why 27 previous years of interventions were ineffective. My focus has changed from concentrating on changing the student's environment to changing the way the student responds to environmental factors.
